Bill Huff and his family reside in Tomball, Texas. They have
lived there since 2000. Prior to that, Bill and his family lived in Tampa, Florida. His
background as an army brat has afforded him the opportunity to quickly appreciate first
hand, the ups and downs in life. As an army brat, he made a lot of friends and lost a lot
of friends. He met a lot of people and has done many things. He is an
active volunteer with SCORE, Counselors to Americas Small Business. SCORE is an all volunteer, not for profit
association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of
small business. Prior to his current role, he had a series of assignments in finance,
accounting, operations and auditing with Fortune 500 companies in the high tech industry.
Bill has extensive financial expertise and is excellent in leading implementations and
resolving business problems. His experience includes in-depth knowledge of Business
Controls, Risk Management, Revenue Recognition, Cost Containment and Processes. Bill
prides himself on being a high impact team player and business partner. Along with having
strong interpersonal and communication skills, Bill has the ability to collaborate and
build consensus on difficult issues. Bills hands on experience includes Compliance;
Profit and Loss statement analysis; balance sheet analysis; business controls; continuous
process improvements; project leadership; international management and; system
implementations. Bill,
while living in Tampa, Florida was very active in the community. During his time there he
was Co Founder and President of a Self Employment Training Initiative for the Economically
Disadvantaged/ He did volunteer Work at SCORE and developed/Implemented an Entrepreneurial
training program for depressed areas in St. Petersburg. He also worked with a Community
Development Corporation of St. Pete and helped develop a business plan to create an OEM to
manufacture circuit boards. This provided job training for residents in the St. Petersburg
urban area. He worked with neighborhood leadership in a community in St Petersburg and
developed a community revitalization plan to create a neighborhood organization to improve
lighting, garbage pickup, raze abandoned housing, and improve relations with local police.
Bill was also chairman, City of Tampas Mayors African American Economic
Advisory Committee. During his
tenure with Corporate America he financially managed complex integration
solution customer programs up to $400 million. Ensured region revenue recognition
practices were applied in accordance with GAAP and company policies across businesses and
countries including US, Canada and Latin America. He directed standardization and
documentation of processes, improving business metrics, systems and tools for various
services in Latin America and Caribbean. He executed sound business controls and insured
quality of plans and forecasts. He developed world wide finance training and competency
model for financial system implementation initiatives. He financially managed Delivery
resources in Latin America; managed complex integration solution customer projects;
advised and assisted Sales and Service Executives on forecasting/budgeting process. He
also managed and led accounting, financial reporting, internal controls and balance sheet
reviews consisting of company and third party vendor resources involving millions of
dollars. Bill graduated from Morehouse College
where he received his Bachelors of Arts degree in Business Administration. He completed
post graduate studies at the University of Tampa. |
