BRG Consulting is a sole proprietorship providing senior level Project Management and analytical consulting services to Marketing Research organizations, and resume writing and career development services to individuals. 

The Marketing Research part of the practice consists of two primary types of support services.

Ø       Project Management:  Unlike most consultants/free-lancers, I will go into a Marketing Research supplier and work on-site to provide all or part of any Project Management support needed.  Extensive training, education and experience in every aspect of the survey research process enable me to provide clients with immediate, high quality, senior level support.  Clients benefit from my services when they need interim help in the event of staff-downsizing, duration of job searches, vacations/leaves, resignations, or anticipated temporary increases in project workload.  They benefit by having senior level, versatile, ‘hands-on’ support without incurring significant time, training and overhead costs associated with an employee.  Adaptability to quickly become ‘one of the senior staff’ and produce quality work in their style distinguishes my work from other consultants in the field.

Ø       Analytical Support:  BRG Consulting provides on target, on time written reports and presentations with actionable recommendations.  Known for seeing the ‘big picture’ while still providing necessary attention to detail.  Clients receive sound, thorough analyses tailored to their particular writing style.  Flexibility in style and top-quality analytical insight minimizes revisions and speeds turn-around time to the end client.  This is a key benefit since free-lance reports often require extensive revisions.  Minimal need for editing frees the client to move forward with other projects.

The resume writing and career development part of the practice offers several services depending on client needs determined by initial assessment and discussion.   A strong background in clinical assessment, business and marketing experience, and sharp writing skills add value beyond ‘marketing packages’ or standard formulaic resumes.  A background in Women’s Studies and corporate experience support a specialization in working with professional women.

The process includes a comprehensive initial interview in which clients provide information and receive insight into their strengths and abilities in an interactive process resulting in a targeted resume that generates interviews.  The satisfied client reads their resume and wants to hire the person described.  Clients may choose to have cover letters written, interview preparation sessions, and/or job search/networking instruction.  We incorporate current trends in job hunting techniques including internet job sites/searches, keywords and simplified formatting for e-versions of resumes.

In the Resume/Career arena, BRG Consulting has achieved and maintains high visibility by networking, conducting job search/resume workshops and establishing and running career search support groups.  Affiliation with local university career centers adds to visibility and credibility.  We enjoy recognition for special expertise in issues affecting women in the workplace.  In conjunction with that expertise, we offer resources to disadvantaged women in shelters and other programs.

Biography

Barbara R. Gammer is a multi-talented, dynamic senior marketing research professional with extensive experience, training and education in all aspects of the survey research process.  Her background in consumer behavior research includes corporate and supplier experience in Consumer Packaged Goods, Health and Beauty Aids, and Pharmaceutical areas.  A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Rutgers University, Ms. Gammer combines her extensive business experience with her background in Psychology and Human Resource Development to work with individuals on developmental career issues including resume writing and effective job search techniques.  Ms. Gammer also holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling and Human Resource Development.
